<p>It has always been a joke between boyfriends and girlfriends that boys can be a little insensitive and dumb at times. The word dumb is never appropriate is describing anybody, however in modern jokes, that is usually the term used. Furthermore, if in relationships boys are labelled to be the passive one, girls on the other hand are those who are said to be more attentive to details.</p>
<p>Additionally, gender differences aren’t always just a joke. It affects other parts of people’s lives such as in education. It is also very important for everybody to understand every possible reason regarding the existence of gender differences. Let us take a look at the effect of these gender differences in the aspect of education and learning.</p>
<p>It has been a noticeable routine that girls are more likely to excel in studies compared to boys. This is actually just a generalized idea for there are also boys who manage to excel in their studies. However, if taken as a whole, more girls excel in education than boys. The reason behind this is that the structure of the brain is different in men and in women. These brain differences are the ones affecting their behaviour both in school and in other aspects. It is important to understand that the point in this matter is not about boys being less intelligent, it is just that people have different ways in learning and that people learn in gender specific ways.</p>
<p>To be more specific, here are the physical differences in the brain of men and women that affect their learning process:</p>
<p>When compared to boys’ brain, girls’ brain has many different characteristics. They have a larger corpus callosum. The purpose of that brain part is to allow the right and left brain to communicate. This can explain girls’ better ability to focus and determine details. They also have a larger hippocampus. Hippocampus is the brain part responsible for memory. This can explain why girls have better memory compared to boys.</p>
<p>Boys  on the other hand have less “brain space”. This “brain space” is supposed to be responsible for verbal functions. However, boys often use their brain in spatial and mechanical subjects like Mathematics and Science. This can explain why many men are naturally good in these subjects especially in Math. Additionally, men’s brains are programmed to put itself into “rest state”. While women can actually be attentive in class even when they have gone sleepy and bored, men cannot be effective in doing this.</p>

<p>So as a conclusion, there are concrete reasons why boys and girls act very differently in many aspects. And these reasons does not justify that one gender is better than the other, it’s just that each gender has its own way of responding to situations and absorbing information. At the bright side, differences can be good. It sets balance and the collaboration of both genders can result to more intelligent and positive results.</p>

<p>As years pass by, the use of computer becomes more intense. Being born in the late 80’s, I remember using computer for the first time when I was in early grade school. That time, computer use was mostly for education and work purposes only, and even with work, there was a very slight reliance to computers. With that past of using computers, who would’ve thought that risks from it will develop over the years?</p>
<p>Actually, using your computer in moderation isn’t bad at all. But the problem with today’s generation is that computers and laptops have become household gadgets. Before, most of the people who buy a computer are those who really need one. Now, with the evolution of the internet and with the innovations of computer, having a personal computer or laptop has developed to be a necessity. Furthermore, laptops and computers have become more accessible and affordable these days. So this is where the problem starts. Using the computer in moderation is ok, but total reliance and attachment to it is risky to the health.</p>
<p>Minor complaints to be expected from too much computer usage would be muscular pains caused by too much typing and mouse moving. Any physical action done for too long and repetitively is very likely to lead to something. And with typing and controlling the mouse, the time is likely to come when you will start to feel muscular pains. Eyesight problems are also one obvious expectation from computer usage. Looking at the bright screen for too long and too near is almost certainly going to lead to poor eyesight and maybe frequent headaches. Additionally, working in front of the computer for long hours every day is also likely to cause you fatigue. When too much concentration is done by your eyes, stress can also be expected.</p>
<p>However, you can avoid such problems when you know enough about computer health and safety. Here are some of my tips for you:</p>
<p>To avoid headaches and dizziness, ensure that your screen is clear and that the graphics and texts are big enough for you to see and read. Don’t settle for an uncomfortable position; make sure you have enough space between your keyboard and your body. This will help you type and move the mouse comfortably. Sit on an adjustable chair. The chair must be adjustable vertically and horizontally. A footrest under your desk is also necessary to make your feet straight at times. Try to adjust the height of your seat in such a way that your eyesight is directly straightened towards the top of the screen</p>
<p>Lastly, take a break. Make sure that from time to time you stand up and take a short while to rest your body and mind from work and from using the computer. This will not only reduce the risks in computer usage, it will likewise avoid stress on your part.</p>

<p>There are many reasons on why women put on makeup. Some to just simply enhance their beauty and some are just required to do so. Many jobs require women to wear at least light makeup to be presentable to clients. And if you are one of those women who have never worn makeup before and have the desire or need to do so now, here are some of my tips to help you start in your makeup habit.</p>
<p>Make sure you have the most essential contents of a makeup kit. You must have a blush, a brush, powder and a lipstick. These alone can be enough to avoid you from looking pale. However, having other more makeup is also better. Other makeups that you can use are eye liner, eye brow, mascara, eye shadows and brush accessories. Foundations and makeup base creams are also very useful.</p>
<p>If you have all these makeup, here are the steps in applying them:</p>
<ol>
<li>Start by applying the makeup base all over your face. Just pour a tiny portion on your palm and apply on your face in a circular motion. The makeup base will allow your makeup to stay on your face for a longer time.</li>
<li>Next, apply powder on your face. Pressed or loose powder will work great. if you have foundation you can use it too.</li>
<li>Next, you can start by putting on blush. Use your brush you apply some on your cheeks. The manner on how this is done may differ from one facial structure to another. But usually, diagonal upward motion is good. Don’t choose a shade which is too dark. If your intention is to just wear light make up, then light maroon or natural pink colours will be good.</li>
<li>Apply your mascara. Simply use your mascara bristles to gently enhance your lashes. In case your lashes clump, use an eye comb to fix it. Others choose to apply mascara before anything else so when they stain their skin, they can easily wipe or cover it up with foundation.</li>
<li>Apply eye shadow. Earth coloured eye shadows are safe options for colours since they can easily match whatever you are wearing. Follow it by suing eyeliner on your lower lids. You can also apply eyeliner above your upper lashes to make your eyes look bigger.</li>
<li>Applying a lipstick is essential. Without doing so will make you look pale and dull. Light pink or maroon lipstick is good enough to make you look less pale. But if you are comfortable with dark lipsticks like the red ones, then it is also good.</li>
</ol>
<p>Applying makeup is essential in some situations, and if you are in one of those situations, make sure you choose makeup brands that will not cause you allergies. Choose brands your skin is comfortable with. Also, make sure you bring a lipstick and a powder for retouches. A red lipstick can also be used as a blush in case you need a retouch. Lastly, always remember that beauty is only skin deep but enhancing yourself is never a bad idea.</p>

The threat in letting your emotional troubles take over you is being unable to take care of your health. It is important to deal with painful emotions so it would not make your situation worse.</p>
<p>I hope these tips can help you get by:</p>
<p>-        Take some time alone</p>
<p>Yes the saying “no man is an island” is true. You really need other people to survive in this world. However, during times of sorrow you first need to pick of yourself from the downfall before anybody else can help you. So if you are down, take some time to be alone. You have the need to reflect things upon yourself. Being around people while you are in sorrow and confusion will make things harder. Even the weakest man need time to be alone so he can think things out and absorb whatever happened. This will help you in the stage of acceptance.</p>
<p>-        Next, go out with friends</p>
<p>If you have already spent time with yourself and you think that you long for companionship, then going out with friends will really help. To be able to get over an emotional struggle, you need to be helped by people who love you. Being surrounded by those who care for you will make you realize that life isn’t that bad after all and that you have much reason to be happy instead of being so depressed and hopeless.</p>
<p>-        Try to see friends you haven’t seen in a while</p>
<p>Seeing other people you haven’t seen for a while will help you divert your attention for a while.
